Pamela’s blanket pattern will be published as part of the Knit Picks Independent Designer Program. I was inspired to knit this baby blanket when I met my host cousin during my stay in Quito, Ecuador (May-Aug 2010).
This is a fairly simple pattern with garter stitch borders and lace patterning. The lace pattern is both written and charted.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate
Finished Measurements: approx. 32” x 32”

Gauge: 16 stitches and 22 rows = 4 inches
in lace pattern (blocked);
15.5 sts and 24 rows = 4 inches in garter stitch
(blocked)
Materials:
- Size 5mm (US 8 ) needles
- Stitch markers (2)
- Tapestry needle
Yarn: approx. 650 yards worsted weight yarn.
